About Library & Information Centre
The Library and Information Centre of our institution is serving as ‘Learning Resource Centre’ for our students and faculty members. We collects, processes, organize, maintains, preserves and disseminate information contained in the documents in order to offer our users with the ‘Right to Learn’.
We have a well stocked Library & Information centre comprising of Text & Reference Books, Journals, General Magazines, News dailies, CDs, Non book materials and Internet section.
Library is operating between 9 am to 6 pm on all week days. It works on holidays between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. However, timings are extended during examinations on the request of students.
We have an unique collection of about 17000 books both text and reference on languages, humanities, computer applications and competitive examinations and about 25 Indian Journals are provided to our users. Sufficient funds are allocated in the library budget for these resources.
We offer various services to our user’s community. They are Document Lending, Book Consultation, Basic Reference Service, Photocopy Service, Computer & Internet Service, Inter Library Loan Service, Current Awareness Service (CAS), and Selective Dissemination of Information. With all these services we try to cater the knowledge based information needs of students, faculty members and researchers in their self learning, reference and class room demonstration.
We have separate Computer and Internet section wherein about 10 computer terminals are installed. We are providing access to e-journals of INFLIBNET, an UGC autonomous body. Accessing e-journals is now made easy than before at few clicks of a mouse with least time to all our students, teachers and researchers inorder to keep them abreast of latest developments in the field of their interest.
Our library is designed and functions to ensure optimum utilization of its resources and service by user’s community through our collection development and services.
